Specialist injury solicitors

Many thousands of people are injured in accidents in the UK every year. Accidents occur on the road, in the workplace, in public places, by defective products, by medical negligence. Wherever or however the injury occurs, and whether it is minor or serious, the injured person may have a legal right to financial compensation if the accident was caused by the negligence of some other person or party.

We all have a Common Law legal Duty of Care to other persons wherever we are and whatever we are doing - in the workplace, in our homes, whilst driving a vehicle. Sometimes a greater duty is imposed by Statute Law - this is frequently so in the case of the duty owed by an employer to his employee. Where there is a breach of Statute or Duty of Care, the injured person may be able to bring a claim for damages.

However, personal injury liability is a complex matter and if you wish to pursue a claim for damages you will need expert assistance from a Specialist Injury Solicitor who will guide you through the case giving advice on all aspects of the matter.

Cooks Legal is a Specialist Practice dealing with all types of personal injury claims who can provde advice and assistance to ensure that your claim is pursued in the best possible manner.

Slip in Public House
Mrs C whilst walking towards the bar area slipped on the wet floor of a public house whilst walking towards the bar area. She fell awkwardly causing a complex fracture of her right wrist. The insurers denied liability alleging the floor was dry and that Mrs C was drunk and jumping on the dancefloor. Cooks obtained evidence refuting this and issued the claim at Court. Settlement was reached just prior to the trial when Mrs C was awarded £20,000.00 she said:
"I would just like to say thanks to the staff who have been first class explaining things to me all the way and keeping me informed."
