Personal injury compensation

If you have suffered personal injuries in an accident caused by the negligent act or omission of someone else you may have a legal right to financial compensation/damages from the person or party responsible.

Whether the accident occurred on the road, at work, in a public place etc. you are likely to have a valid claim if you can prove that someone else was wholly or partly to blame. If you were partly responsible for the accident yourself you may still be able to claim compensation from the other party in proportion to the extent to which they were to blame.

Millions of people are injured through no fault of their own every year in the UK and the introduction of the "No Win No Fee" system a few years ago means that persons with a legitimate claim can now pursue the matter without the worry of incurring large legal costs.

Injuries suffered need not necessarily be serious as even minor injuries can attract payments in respect of pain and suffering, loss of wages, medical and other expenses resulting from the accident. In most cases a claim needs to be made witin three years of the accident otherwise the claim may be "time barred".

If you have been injured last three years and would like a free legal assessment of your case, please complete the Application Form. We will handle your claim on a No Win No Fee basis at no cost to you.

Cyclist knocked over by car
Mr G was knocked off his bicycle by a car pulling out of a side road, fracturing his left leg. The defendant insurers blamed him for the accident alleging he had ridden on the pavement and not given way to their car. Cooks obtained photographs and sketch plans of the accident site and agreed with Mr G to issue his claim. As soon as the documents were lodged with the Court, the defendant insurers accepted liability and settled the claim in the sum of £5,420.58. He said:
"Excellent service – I cannot thank you enough for all the help and advice that I received from my Solicitor. No regrets choosing Cooks Legal 100%."
