Hand injury claim

If you have suffered a hand injury as an innocent victim in the last three years you may be legally entitled to compensation for pain and suffering and other losses resulting from the accident.

Provided that the accident was caused by the negligence of another party you should have valid claim. Examples of circumstances where a head injury may be caused are :-

  1. Road Traffic Accidents - whether as driver, passenger, cyclist, motorcyclist or pedestrian.
  2. Slips, Trips, Falls - on roads, footpaths etc, on Third Party premises such as shops or restaurants.
  3. At Work - slips trips or falls, trapping, burns, scalds, cuts, machinery accidents, construction site accidents. Cuts to the hands and fingers are a frequent cause of industrial injury claims.
  4. Sporting Accidents - whilst some injuries are accepted as inevitable in sport there are situations where a legimate claim for injury damages would exist eg. reckless or malicious conduct by an opponent, defects in playing surfaces.

Whilst many hand injuries are fairly minor cuts from which a full recovery is made, in some instances scarring is left for which compensation can be claimed in addition to claims for pain and suffering and other losses. Injuries involving fractures or damage to nerves or tendons are of course more serious and may leave some long term damage.

More severe injuries can occur, particularly with machinery accidents. In cases which result in amputation of fingers or even the whole hand the resulting disability can be very serious and damages awarded can be high. Obviously loss of a use of a hand is likely to have a dramatic effect on employment prospects.

If you have suffered a hand injury and would like to know whether you may be entitled to compensation please complete the Application Form and we will provide a Free Legal Assessment of your claim. We will handle your claim on a No Win No Fee basis at no cost to you.

Accident in Supermarket
Mrs H was shopping for a small fold out table in a Supermarket. She reached to take one when the stack collapsed falling onto her right foot. X-rays to her foot showed no fracture but she was still forced to use crutches for a few weeks afterwards.

Within 6 months of being instructed Cooks had obtained a settlement offer of £2,000.00 which Mrs H was delighted to accept. She said
"My Granddaughter found your website and recommended you to me. Thank you for all your efforts for my accident claim, I appreciate your kindness. I received my cheque today and will be taking my grandchildren away on holiday with the money you recovered for me"
