Accident injury compensation

If you suffer accidental injury or disease caused by another party you will very probably be entitled to compensation. Some of the main types of accident are as follows :-

  • Road Traffic Accidents
  • Accidents at Work
  • Industrial Diseases
  • Accidents on Third Party Premises
  • Faulty Goods or Products
  • Medical Negligence

Individuals and Commercial organisations have a Common Law duty of care towards others and if a breach of that duty results in injury to a third party then a claim for compensation will almost certainly lie.

In addition to this Common Law duty, Employers, Commercial Organisations and Suppliers of Products or Services are also subject to the provisions of numerous specific statutes enacted in order to reduce the risk of accidents. A breach of such safety law resulting in injury can be a valid reason for a successful claim for compensation.

If it is felt that the accident was partly your fault your fault your claim may be reduced. This is called Contributory Negligence and your compensation would be reduced in proportion to the extent to which you are held to be partly responsible.

You may be entitled to various categories of compensation. See further on the subject of Damages.

If you have suffered an accident resulting loss or injury and would like to know whether you may be entitled to compensation please complete the Application Form and we will provide a Free Legal Assessment of your claim. We will handle your claim on a No Win No Fee basis at no cost to you.

Testimonials
Food Poisoning
Mr W was involved in a food poisoning incident at a Dinner Dance. Cooks obtained an admission of liability swiftly from the hosts. Mr W’s symptoms did not settle, he required surgery and Cooks referred him to a Gastrointestinal Consultant to provide a final diagnosis. On receipt of this Mr W agreed an out of Court settlement of £20,000.00
"At first the Doctors didn’t know what was wrong with me, but Cooks never gave up and in the end I received a correct diagnosis, the appropriate treatment and a cheque for far more than I had expected."
